This time-lapse image shows how the night
sky appears to revolve around Polaris as the
Earth spins on its axis. Polaris (aka the North Star)
is positioned directly abopve the Earth's geographic north
pole, so is centedered on Earth's axis. It appears
as a stationary dot in the center of the rotating star field.
