Rotation Around Polaris

This time-lapse image shows how the night
sky appears to revolve around Polaris as the
Earth spins on its axis.  Polaris (aka the North Star)
is positioned directly abopve the Earth's geographic north
pole, so is centedered on Earth's axis.  It appears
as a stationary dot in the center of the rotating star field.

Usally we don't notice that the earth is spinning, but in this picture it really does look like we're the ones spinning.

To me this photo really brings the reality of how the earth is spinning every second of the day when we don't even feel it... CREEPY!!!!!!!!!!!

This picture is sooo cool! It really shows the rotation of the Earth even though we don't even see it! I love how you can't even tell that the stars are stars, gives it some mystery. I am definitely going to try to take a picture like that?!

Wow! The fact that it is even possible to take a picture like that that demonstrates the way the Earth rotates non-stop 24/7. Its even cooler how all the little lines (AKA: stars) are actually curving in a way that makes the top of the Earth!!!

This picture is so cool. I have never really thought that the stars in the sky look like they are moving. It is a great picture with the North Star in the middle.
