Eclipse Amazingness

 
This is the "pinhole effect" that happens under a tree
during a solar eclipse.
See all of the little crescent suns?

I think this picture is a fanastic example of how the sun gives us light. It shows how through the trees' leaves you can still see the sun, by illustrating through a very cool picture. This reminds me of how when trees move and the evening light is streaming upon it, the leaves make patterns upon the ground, such as in this picture.

Miss. P I think this picture of the solar eclips is really cool and confusing at the same time. I do not get why the picture of the sun is projected on the ground though?

I was going to use a picture like this for my independant learning for the note shell this week. Does this happen at the beggining and end of the solar eclipes of during the whole thing?
